Image Requirements/Explanation

· What are the requirements for a suitable photo?
Your photo must preferably be a digital photograph. The photo must be in JPG file format. A digital image needs to be at a minimum of 75 DPI, with an optimum size of 150 DPI. This translates to an image from a 6 megapixel camera set at its maximum size.
Use only high quality photos with bright colours and high resolution.

· Can you check my photo?
Yes, we can. E-mail your photo to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it You will receive a prompt response.

· Can I use a photo taken with my mobile phone?
We do not recommend using cell phone photos. unless they are of a very good quality.

· Can I use a photo downloaded from the Internet?
No. The files used on websites are of a low quality and in addition you would need to seek copyright approval before reproducing pictures from the Internet.

· Do you have copyright of the image you want made into a jigsaw?

Before we can produce a jigsaw puzzle from your image, you must have copyright of the image – that is, permission to use the image. For more information on copyright in New Zealand check out the web site of the Copyright Council of New Zealand, which includes many excellent information sheets.

· How do I send you my image?

Please make sure that your image is below the maximum file size, and is a JPG file. If you choose to send us a physical/hard copy of the image, please make sure it is no larger than A4 size.
